Retro Diva Policies
ALL SALES ARE FINAL ON CLOSEOUT ITEMS
When an item is listed in our Closeout section it means one of our vendors had decided to discontinue manufacturing the item. They offer deeply discounted prices to clear the remainder of that item out of their stock rooms. As such these items are not returnable so please choose carefully before purchasing a Closeout item.
We try to update our closeout list weekly based on our vendor's stock list but due to the dscounted prices these items sell out quickly and we are not informed in advance when an item is no longer available. If your item turns out to be sold out after you place your order you will ge given the choice of another item or an in store credit. If you would like to make sure your closeout item is still in stock before you purchase please contact us for availability.
We make every effort we can to provide you with detailed information about our products to help you make your purchasing decision. However we do understand that sometimes an item does not fit or is just not quite what you were looking for. We happily offer our customers the option of exchange for another style, size or an in store credit for purchase of a future item. There are a few exceptions, please see (lingerie and corset/custom orders). For all other items please read our returns policy carefully below.
Monetary Refunds are only given for accidental duplicate orders.
An item that is in unworn and unused condition may be returned for an exchange or in store credit under the following conditions:
- All items returned for reasons not due to error on the part of Retro Diva or one of our suppliers are subject to a 15% restocking fee. This fee does not apply to defective items. If your item is found to be defective please see our exchange policy below.
- All items being returned for exchange or credit must have a RAN (Return Authorization Number), which may be obtained via e-mail. Any item returned without an RAN will be refused and shipped back to the return address.
- Original shipping charges are non refundable and customer is responsible for all shipping charges to return the item and to resend a new item.
- To be considered acceptable for return, merchandise must be in unused and unworn condition and returned to us within 30 days of customer receipt; that which is shipped to us with noticeable wear will be refused. With regards to shoes if the original packaging is damaged, a $5.00 box fee will be applied.
- Items returned for exchange or credit are not accepted if damaged in transit or if delivered postage due.
- International customers must ship the item back with no custom's value. If duty is owed at the time your return arrives it will be deducted from your final refund total.
- If an item you ordered turns out to be a sold out discontinued item you will be offered the choice of another item, style or in store credit.
- If your item is on backorder and/or it will not be available by the date you need it you will be offered the choice of another item, style or in store credit.
- Lingerie & hosiery after being opened from its original package does not qualify for return.
We here at Retro Diva take quality and customer service very seriously. We absolutely want to know if any of our items are found to be defective! For custom orders/Vollers corsets the item must be reported to be defective within 3 days upon receipt. All defective shoe orders must be reported within 30 days. All other store items found to be defective must be reported within 7 days of receipt by customer. We reserve the right to make final say on whether an item is defective due to manufacturer error. If this is found to be the case the customer will be sent a new item at our cost with a prepaid shipping label to return the defective item. Defective items must be received back within two weeks of receipt of new item or customer will be charged for the replacement item that was shipped.
Custom orders are not returnable unless they are found to be defective within 3 days of receipt. We reserve the right to make final say on whether an item is defective due to manufacturer error. Relating specifically to our Vollers corset line, we can not be held responsible for inaccurate measurements by the customer. This is why we will work personally with each customer to help obtain their measurements prior to corset purchase.
Most of our item's measurements can be found in our size chart. Unfortunately we are unable to provide measurements on the shoes we offer. We have over 90% of our shoe shipped directly from our manufacturer to our US customers and as such we do not have access to the shoes to measure for our customers. Our manufacturer has a policy against providing measurements as they have told us that they are simply too difficult to take and be accurate. Neither our manufacturer or Retro Diva would want to be responsible for providing inaccurate information to our customers.
We ship out hosiery and handbags directly from Retro Diva. All other US items are sent directly to our customers from our various manufacturers. We are therefore able to keep our overhead low and continue providing you with low prices.
Average US Ship Time
Aside from any of your items being on backorder most of our US shipments take approximately two weeks or less to arrive after your order is received. At certain high volume times of the year these ship times may vary. If your order is time sensitive please make sure you include this information at the time your order is placed by making a note in the Comments box on the checkout page. Please see our section on backorders for more information if your item is out of stock.
Due to increased internet fraud we no longer will ship to an alternate address. We are only authorized to ship to the billing address on file for the card being used. If your shipping address is not the same as your billing address delays or cancellation of your order may occur as we attempt to reach your bank to confirm your billing address.

- On most items within the US we ship UPS Ground.
- The average shipping time is about two weeks or less if your item is not on backorder.
- Your shipping charge for UPS Ground includes tracking and insurance.
- We do offer faster shipping options at an additional charge. Please contact us for details.
- Attention Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico customers. The website bills for UPS Ground shipping in the continental US. For all states outside this area (listed above) additional shipping charges will be necessary. If you would like to know what your shipping charges will be please contact us for a shipping quote before you place your order.
Time Sensitive Orders
If you have a specific date that you need to have your package delivered by you MUST let us know this at the time you place your order. We will make every effort to get your order delivered to you in with the time frame you need it by but mitigating factors such as availability and order processing time may take longer than you expected. It is always best to know ahead of time and not be caught by surprise.
Most items are shipped directly to you from our suppliers and are subject to availability. Back orders can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months and may be discontinued by the supplier during that time. If your item is out of stock we will try our best to provide you with an availability date. If the item is discontinued while on backorder you will be given the option to choose another item or an in store credit.
Please note we are not informed in advance by our vendors if an item is out of stock. We will make every effort to get your item to you in a timely manner but we can not make any guarantees as to how long an item may take to arrive back in stock.
You may cancel your backorder at anytime before it ships. You will be issued an in store credit for the item amount plus any tax or shipping that was not used to ship other items from your order.
Accepted Payment Methods
We accept the following methods of payment.
- Credit or Debit Cards - with a visa or mastercard logo
- Prepaid Cards - works like a credit card without the need for a bank account
- Paypal - please click here for Paypal Payment Instructions
- Cash - mailed at the customer's risk (we do not recommend this method)
- US Postal Service Money Orders - We now accept money orders from the US Postal Service only. Please note we receive a money order that is not from the US Postal Servie we will return it to the sender. Please click here for more details on placing a US Postal Service Money Order purchase.
We DO NOT accept personal checks, cashier's checks, money orders, wire transfers or Western Union.
US Shipping Costs
The shopping cart will automatically calculate shipping costs for UPS Ground shipping within the US. When you have finished adding items to the shopping cart go to the check out page and you will see your full shipping total.
Part of your total shipping charge is a $5 handling fee per order added into the shipping cost. We are more than happy to waive the drop ship fee for our local customers who would like to arrange for pick up of their order. There will still be a modest shipping charge for the items to be sent to us.

- We only accept international orders to CANADA.
- Until we have established a relationship with our with you as an customer we ask that all orders over $200 be paid via Paypal (verified addresses only).
International Shipping
Items ending in -al: All items that end in -al are shipped from within Canada so normal UPS Ground applies to those items.
For all other items: All our other manufacturers are in the US and will ship the items to our Canadian customers via UPS Standard. The website will automatically charge you for Ground shipping within the US at the time of your purchase. The remaining balance for UPS Standard will be calculated after your order has been shipped and we have been invoiced by the manufacturer. You will be billed for any remaining difference between Ground and Standard after your order has shipped and we have been invoiced by the manufacturer. That way you only pay what we pay for shipping and are not over charged.
WARNING: UPS Standard is a farily resonable rate but UPS often hits customers with hidden fees in the name of taxes and duty at the time of delivery or very soon after. If you choose to place your order please be prepared for this as we are not responsible for any hidden fees, taxes or duty that they may charge you.
International Tracking
You will be provided with a UPS tracking number that you can follow via the UPS website.
Duty
Please Note: Duty is not included in our shipping charges and may be required as an additional cost by UPS. We have no control over duty charges and have no way to predict how much duty they will require per shipment. You may want to contact UPS to see if they have a rate chart based on monetary value of the package.
As a business it is illegal for us to mark our packages as "Gift". We are required to provide an invoice to the manufacturer with all of our shipments and it has been our experience that Custom's will charge the customer for duty based on the amount on the invoice regardless of what the package says.

Our various manufacturers only ship out to our customers for us via UPS so please only order if you have a US street address that they can ship to, no military addresses such as APO will be accepted.
We reserve the right to update our policies as needed. In the event of major changes to our policies notification will be sent out to our customer list.
